We are proud to share that our nursery has achieved the UNICEF UK Bronze: Rights Committed Award. This award recognises that we are taking important first steps in putting children’s rights at the heart of everything we do.
At this stage of the Rights Respecting Schools journey, we are building a strong foundation by:
- Learning about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and what it means for the children in our care.
- Creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child is valued, listened to and respected.
- Developing a shared understanding among staff, children, and families about the importance of children’s rights.
- Embedding rights-respecting language into everyday routines, play, and interactions.
Achieving the Bronze Award shows our commitment to helping children grow with confidence, kindness, and a strong sense of fairness. We look forward to continuing this journey towards the Silver and Gold Awards, building a community where everyone’s rights are respected and celebrated.
